Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The show ended on the 13, 2012, following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
